Tour the Restored Michigan Central Station
Saturday, 21 March 2026, 10:00 AM-Noon

Make plans now to gather your family members and friends and head for the historic Michigan Central Station in Detroit on Saturday, March 21st. You will be treated to a tour of the magnificently restored station and learn about the many enterprises housed on the 30-acre campus—including a luxury hotel that will occupy the upper levels of the MC building—and hear about the recently announced commitment by Michigan Central, MDOT, and the City of Detroit to undertake initial research and engineering for a proposed multimodal transportation hub adjacent to the former train station.

The tour will begin at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, March 21, 2026, followed by a no-host lunch at the famous Corktown Slow’s Bar BQ.

Michigan Central Station is located at 2001 15th St in Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood. So we will have an idea of how many will be on the tour, please send an email to eric.schertzing@marp.org.

The cost of the lunch at Slow’s is $35 per person (includes tip). If you plan on lunch, we must have your payment no later than Monday, March 16.
