Seeking Nominations for Executive Committee

Have you ever wondered what you might do to help make the world a better place? Well, you already know this: that MORE TRAINS to MORE PLACES for MORE PEOPLE is something that certainly would help make the world a better place. And, you joined MARP to become part of an organization founded to promote this very idea.

Now, here comes MARP with a timely suggestion. You can multiply your efforts by becoming a member of MARP’s leadership team, officially known as the Executive Committee.

MARP’s 12-member Executive Committee is the budgetary, planning and policy recommending body for the organization. The committee meets monthly, usually online. Members are elected to 2-year terms at the Annual Meeting of the membership which will be held this year on Saturday, October 24, at Durand Union Station.

If you want to help shape the future of passenger trains in our state and are interested in a seat on the Executive Council, please contact the chair of the nominating committee, Ted Wojcik, within the next few days. Ted’s email is Ted.Wojcik@marp.org.

The current members of the committee are eager to welcome you and your fresh ideas as MARP seeks to become more effective in meeting the opportunities for passenger train services in our state.
