Railroad police asking for help in Amtrak fire investigation

Last week, there was an Amtrak train fire in Van Buren County. Now, the CSX Railroad Police and FBI are asking for your help.

The Amtrak train was passing through Columbia Township around 9:15 Thursday night when it hit a pry bar and other debris lodged in the CSX rail tracks.

The collision caused the train to catch fire. Luckily no one was hurt.

Now, almost a week after the incident, investigators still have no leads. If you have any information, you’re urged to call CSX Rail Police at 1-800-232-0144.
